After many years as an author on Envato Market and CodeCanyon, I have decided to take a new direction. This is not an easy decision, but it is the right one for the future of my products, my customers, and my work as an independent developer.
Recently, I received an important email from Envato announcing a major change to the Envato Market author model. Starting on 1 July 2026, Envato Market will move closer to the Envato Elements business model.

According to the email, Envato will remove the exclusivity requirements entirely and move all authors to a single non-exclusive model. The distinction between exclusive and non-exclusive authors will disappear, and the author fee will move to 50%.
“From 1 July 2026, Envato Market will move to more closely align its author revenue share and exclusivity model to that of Envato Elements.”
Envato also explained that this change is being made because Envato Market has faced challenging market conditions, while Envato Elements continues to be their core focus.
I understand that businesses evolve, and Envato has the right to choose its direction. But this change also confirms something that has been clear for some time: Envato Market is no longer the best place for me to grow and support my Laravel PHP products.
My PHP Laravel scripts will continue to be available directly through my website: miguelvasquez.net.
Selling directly allows me to have more control over pricing, licensing, updates, support, documentation, and the long-term direction of each product.
Most importantly, this change does not mean that my products are being abandoned. My scripts will continue to be supported, maintained, and improved from my own platform.
If you purchased one of my products on CodeCanyon, your purchase will still be respected. However, you must activate your purchase before 30 June 2026.
On 30 June 2026, I will remove my last available script from CodeCanyon: Sponzy – Support Creators Content Script.
After that date, new sales will no longer be available through CodeCanyon, and future sales will be handled directly through miguelvasquez.net.
If you are an existing customer, please make sure to activate your purchase before the deadline so your license can be properly recognized and supported through my own system.
My Envato account was created in 2011, and I started selling my products there in 2013. For many years, Envato and CodeCanyon were an important part of my journey as a developer and digital product creator.
Through Envato, I was able to reach customers from around the world, learn how to build commercial software products, improve my skills, and grow as an independent author.
I’m grateful for that chapter. It helped shape my career and gave my products visibility at a time when marketplaces were one of the best ways to reach customers.
But every chapter has an ending. With Envato moving its business model closer to Envato Elements, and with the new terms taking effect on 1 July 2026, I believe it is time to move forward independently.
From now on, my focus will be on selling, supporting, and improving my Laravel PHP scripts directly through my own website. This will allow me to build a better experience for customers and offer a more direct relationship with the people who use my products.
Thank you to everyone who purchased, supported, reviewed, and trusted my work on CodeCanyon over the years. Your support made this journey possible.
This is not the end of my products. It is simply a new beginning.
